When Did You Learn You Could Paint?
After I turned 50, when a friend of mine — a painter herself and an art teacher — encouraged me to put away my stress coloring books and pick up a paint brush.
Where Did You Learn To Paint?
My friend, Zoraida Haibi, is my art teacher. Aside from her advice, I have no formal training.
Do You Only Use Acrylics?
Yes. I found that I don’t have the patience for the drying times of oils and I’m too messy for watercolors — though I may play with watercolors from time to time.
Do You Do Portraits?
I have not yet tried my hand at painting people, except in silhouette.
Do You Do Commissions?
